Trap and Skeet News

Trap night.

There will be four (4) trap leagues during the year, spring, summer, winter, and fall. League information will be sent out to the membership prior to the start of each league. Those members and guests who do not want to join the league are still able to shoot for fun.

There will also be an Oakley after everyone is done shooting trap as long as there are enough participants.

Skeet/5 Stand night.
Bring your skeet gun to Weslaco  and have some fun. Just like Skeet/5 stand starts at 6:00 PM except for holidays and bad weather conditions. All members and guests are invited to participate. Check the calendar for dates

A weekly Oakley can win you some $$ After Tuesday night fun or league shooting is over, we have an informal Oakley competition. Have some fun and win some money too!

A Turkey Shoot Protector with a buddy Turkey shoots are fun for the whole family. Lucky target, modified trap, an Oakley, and a protector with you shooting buddy.

Fun for all ages As you can see, there is a young man shooting with the old guys. Clay target shooting is truly fun for all ages!

We shoot year round at Weslaco. These boys look freezing cold, but the fun shooting clay targets warmed them up!

Firearm Safety Reminders

ALWAYS THINK FIREARM SAFETY!
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
 This is the primary rule of gun safety.

2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
 When holding a gun, rest your finger alongside the frame and outside the trigger guard.

3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
 If you do not know how to open the action or inspect the chamber(s), leave the gun alone and get help from someone who does.
 
4. ALWAYS remember to wear eye and ear protection on all Weslaco gun ranges.
